Reviews four professional books for teachers, including Ignite and Chart Sense

Original Description

Four professional books for teachers are discussed in this video. Professional book one is Ignite by Dr. Judy Willis. Dr. Willis has a very engaging writing style. As a retired neurologist, Judy Willis decided to embark on a new career as a teacher. This book is where she explains the best teaching strategies to help students learn, process, and retain information. The second book is Chart Sense by Rozlyn Linder. This book is one I use during the school year to make learning visible and during the summer when reflecting on the year. The Book Whisperer and its companion book, Reading in the Wild, are two books I would recommend to every teacher. Finally, The E Myth Revisited is a business book I love because of the strong metaphor that compares starting a new (successful) business and managing a successful classroom. This channel is dedicated to teachers everywhere. I offer classroom teaching advice based on more than twenty years of experience, creative classroom ideas, and words of encouragement to teachers worldwide. My Facebook page is called Teaching Matters. Check it out for all things K-12 education. Happy Teaching!! https://www.facebook.com/TeachingMattersUSA
