NEW Claude Updates DESTROY OpenClaw!

Claude versus OpenClaw, who wins? So, Claude Code just made OpenClaw look like last year's tool. Five massive updates have dropped, maybe even more than that, and they change how you run your entire business. Before this week, you had to sit at a computer to use Claude for anything. You had to be there watching it, waiting. That just changed. Claude Code can now take messages from your phone through Telegram and Discord. You can control Claude Co-work from your phone as well now, just like you can with OpenClaw. You can run tasks on schedules. You can remote control Claude Code from your phone. And Claude Opus 4.6 just got a million token context window. Plus, you don't need to be techy to set up Claude anymore, right? If you're using Claude, it's a lot easier to set up than using something like OpenClaw. So, I'm going to show you how this works and why I think Claude is basically a better alternative than OpenClaw today, and run you through exactly what the differences are. So, basically, if you've not seen all the new updates, let me talk you through them each one. So, number one is the new update inside Claude projects, right? So, essentially, what this does is it creates like a much less techier version of of OpenClaw, right? So, you can run OpenClaw directly inside your browser, which you can see running right here. And the main benefit of this was that you could control it through Telegram. It was always running 24/7, and you could give it a lot of skills, and it could schedule tasks. You can now basically do that all inside the desktop app of Claude. So, as an example of that, right? You've got this project right here. This is basically a new update that just got dropped from Claude, and you can add context to it. You can schedule tasks inside here. It works 24/7. Not just that, but you've also got a list of scheduled tasks here, and you can use something called dispatch to control give tasks to Claude and check in from your phone or computer, um all in one seamless conversation, right? So, you can actually control with dispatch your Claude Co-work, and then give it tasks from there, right? Now, in terms of the scheduled tasks, these run daily, as you can see right here. The only difference that I find with OpenClaw is that OpenClaw is running 24/7, whether I've got the app open or not, right? That is one of the biggest benefits. So, for example, I always have to have Claude desktop running on my computer in the background if I want this to run 24/7. But, that's not a problem if you've got something like a a Mac mini or a Mac Studio just running in the background, and you've always got it switched on, right? You can also schedule tasks. It's super easy. And the main thing that I like about it is like you don't need to mess around terminal. If it has any updates, it it doesn't break. If you're using something like OpenClaw, it can break a lot when you're updating day-to-day. Even switching between APIs can get messy. Look at this. If we switch and let's say let's say we go from Mini Max 2.7 Cloud, and then we switch to GPT 5.2 Codex. You see how it says it's fai- failed to set model section here. It doesn't switch between things very easily, but also it breaks a lot, right? And on top of that, if you look at the UI of this, it's it still feels like a little bit technical or a little bit messy compared to the UI of Claude. Now, I think if you want full customization, if you're very technical, if you're very comfortable breaking things when they fix, if you're very comfortable with API keys and using terminal, and you're a developer, then OpenClaw is is extremely powerful, right? When you've got Claude Co-work, and it doesn't require technical setup. It works without any problems. I don't need to worry about updates. I don't need to worry about switching APIs. And also, it comes with my pro plan included. Well, why would I use OpenClaw? That's the thing that I'm looking at right now. I'd be interested to know what you think inside the comments. I've used both. I did see a a comment the other day that said the reason you like Claude is because you've never used OpenClaw, but we actually got a full 6-hour course on OpenClaw, and I cover all the new updates with OpenClaw pretty much every single day. Like, you know, the new Nvidia Nemo Claude update or Auto Research Claude or Tandem, which is a AI browser with OpenClaw. Like, I've done video tutorials. I've run through all of them. I've I've set them up and created full guides and um shown how to use those on YouTube. But, from what I've seen, honestly, when I test them both out now at this point, I don't know why most people would be using OpenClaw. Like, it's just so much more powerful to be using Claude. So, overall, I'm going to run through each of the updates, but I will say that I think Claude at this point has already replaced OpenClaw, right? So, for example, update number one that came out recently this week was Claude Code channels through Telegram and Discord. So, Claude can now receive and reply to messages through Telegram and Discord, which means you can send Claude a message on your phone, and it does the work on your computer, right? Just like OpenClaw was. Number two, you can schedule tasks um inside Claude Code, but also inside Claude Co-work, right? So, Claude Code and Claude Co-work can now run tasks on schedule, like an alarm clock for your AI, right? So, if you say every morning, you know, check my GitHub tasks and send me a summary, or every week find the latest AI automation news, it will do it for you, and it will not be required to use the terminal as well. So, that's a big difference here, too. Number three, you've got remote control for Claude Code, right? So, basically, you can start a Claude Code session on your computer, walk away, and then from your phone or web browser, you can keep giving Claude instructions and watching in real time, right? And you just use these commands to use it inside Claude Code. And number four, this is a big one. Claude Opus with 1 million token contexts, right? Now, if you're using Claude Opus, which is the best API, if you're using it inside OpenClaw, it can get expensive. I've I've had days where I spent like $38 on Claude Opus, and I don't even know what it's done, right? It's just been working in the background, updating the heartbeat MD file, and then doing some stuff, but not really achieving much, right? Whereas, for example, if you're using Claude Co-work, you just pay for your pro or max subscription, and then you're set and you can get it, right? You're not You're not going to get charged for extra API costs, which is super useful. And then also, it's it's the best API in the world, right? Million token context window, by far the most intelligent API that I've used, the most powerful AI that I've used so far. It's it's really, really good. And then, update number five, the big one. Projects are now live, right? So, you can keep your work organized, separate separate, and smarter, right? So, Claude has a projects feature. And what this basically allows you to do is, you know how you've got OpenClaw, and you've got it inside one gateway terminal, or maybe you've got it inside Telegram, for example. It's one chat, right? It's just one long string of chat, as you can see right here, right? So, to see previous things that you've done, it's pretty hard. Whereas, if you go into Claude Co-work, and let's say you've got projects set up like I have right here. I can see all the previous chats, and I can just switch between them really quickly. So, if I'm like, "Okay, well, you know, uh what ideas did you come up with me for the for today?" And I've got them all organized here, right? It's way easier to separate different chats, different tasks, and go back through the history of Claude Co-work than it is to go back through the history of OpenClaw. Now, you could, for example, have a separate Discord channels, with OpenClaw, and then you can have each of them organized with different chats for different tasks. But, even then, it's still going to be a long stream like this, right? It's not going to save different chats like you've got right here, where we can just organize each of these chats, go through them, look through what we did recently, and then go from there, right? So, just overall, I I would say that OpenClaw is falling behind when it comes to functionality with Claude. However, that can just change like week to week. One new update from OpenClaw, and all of a sudden, it's amazing again. So, you know, this is just my advice. This is what I found from first-hand experience, and this is what I would I would recommend going with, unless you're super technical and you just want amazing customization, right? It's way easier, way more powerful, easy to control from your phone, easy to schedule tasks, and it works first time around. It doesn't break as much.
