you don't want to miss this episode of the AI show where we cover Azure open AI learning path on Microsoft learn and the newest generative AI module [Music] welcome everybody to another episode of the AI show we will bring you the latest and greatest in the world of AI it's great to be back here today and we have a special guest joining us iverberry to share some of the updates around the newest learning path available today in Microsoft learn and if you're not familiar with it Microsoft learn is our free and Interactive Learning platform to feed that hunger and knowledge for Skilling so either I'll pass it over to you to introduce yourself before we hop into our demo great thanks Rob uh my name is Ivor Berry I'm a Content developer uh focusing on Azure Ai and Azure AI has credentials things like that but it mostly is focusing on in what we're talking about today Azure open AI absolutely well with that said let's uh let's actually hop into the demo so we could actually see what the newest module is in uh the Azure open AI learning path great yeah have you jump in uh the module topic that we're talking about today is included in this learning path that is available on Microsoft learn right now the topic is going to be about grounding your data or grounding your Azure open AI service in your data um so if we're looking at this learning path you'll see all sorts of information from deploying models using natural language of prompt engineering generating code and images and then the one that we're going to focus on is using your own data the power of using your own data allows you to actually upload company data or anything that you might need and then use Azure open AI to reference that data when providing answers So within this module we have units explaining what we're doing and how we're doing it and Hands-On exercise for you to try it yourself so let's jump into the Azure AI Studio here you have all the options for using Azure AI so first we're going to dive into creating our deployment you can create deployments for any of the available models on Azure open AI here you can see a full list of what's available we have gpt35 turbo we have different generations of gbt 3 models and embeddy and similarity models today we're going to go ahead and use the gbt35 turbo model which if you use chat gbt or any of those generally available models this is likely what you've used so we're going to name it azure demo create and once created we can jump over into the playground and go ahead and start using it here if you've used Azure open AI you'll see familiar paintings one for assistant setup one's a chat session and one's our configuration in addition and what we're going to be focusing on today is a new tab in the assistant setup for adding your own data here you're going to be able to connect to an Azure cognitive search resource to use as grounding data for responses that the AI model is going to provide before we get into that I want to just give a quick example of what we're going to be doing if we wanted to ask an AI model say where should I stay in London or in New York you'll get a pretty standard answer of different areas in New York and places you can stay this is all information that you could find with an internet search but an AI model is running for you but say that we are a travel agency that we want to provide data for the model to then return to users whether asking where to stay and so that's the example we're going to be walking through today in our example we are a company called marches travel and we have these pamphlets about Market stuff there are places that we can stay places that can be booked through Margie's travel and other information about the cities the information we have is around New York San Francisco Las Vegas and London all of these with different hotels and information about the cities so let's go ahead and connect our data when going through the lab we have three options for connecting our data one is an existing Azure cognitive search resource with an index you can connect data that lives on block storage or you can upload files now if going through the lab that is available on this learning path we're talking about today it'll walk you through uploading your own files creating your own resources and so on for the sake of time we're going to use a cognitive search resource I've already created so here I have selected my search resource my index I'm going to acknowledge use defaults for the rest of my settings select keyword search type and close so here you can see now I've connected a data source our search resource and our index this also automatically starts a new chat session so we can then go ask other questions so if we ask the same question where should I stay in New York this time you'll get an answer that's based on the content that we uploaded about Marcus drop so it tells you the different hotels that are available through Marty's travel and provides a reference to that brochure that we had seen previously in addition we could say what is Las Vegas most known for which is included in that brochure and here we'll get a get another answer about what Vegas is known for with the reference to the data that it was grounded in and then say we want to ask tell me about Marcus travel which gives you information about our fictional travel agency including leaders things like that our website with the full reference and all of that data can be found on the pamphlets that we upload and that Rob is the demo that you get to go through in this learning path fantastic absolutely fantastic this is one of the things that makes me super excited about Microsoft learn is that Hands-On component that just truly gives you a sense of what's possible with these Solutions and I honestly cannot wait to give this a go myself this week so thank you for that incredible demo and showcasing it to not only myself but our viewers and audience as well but can you just remind our viewers where they can go to get started with this today and any other additional resources that they might need as well absolutely uh you can find this module and all the rest of the modules on Azure open AI on Microsoft learn you'll see the link below for a quick link to get to this learning path there are currently seven modules in that and we are continually updating and adding content there so keep checking back uh additionally it is worth noting that the Azure AI studio is available which you saw me working in to interact deploy chat with models and do all things Azure open AI awesome well thank you so much for being part of this episode and we can't wait to see you next week thanks Rob thank you
