Retro consoles like R36s and its clones (e.g. K36) can run a lot of nostalgic retro games like PS1, Amiga, GameBoy, Sega, but also some music tracking software and basic portable DAWs. However there are challenges that make it harder to compete with modern products like Dirtywave M8 portable tracker sequencer or Polyend Tracker Mini. Cost difference is huge since you can buy the entire setup for 60 USD. But workflows become quite challenging.
