About this lesson

Know What Truly Matters — Buddhist Wisdom We spend so much of our lives chasing things that leave us feeling empty — and most of the time, we don't even realize we're doing it. The Buddha called them the Eight Worldly Winds: gain and loss, praise and blame, fame and disgrace, pleasure and pain. Not enemies to defeat, but invisible currents that quietly pull us away from what truly matters. Through teachings from the Lokadhamma Sutta, the Madhupiṇḍika Sutta, the Pabbatopama Sutta, and the Bhaddekaratta Sutta, this conversation looks honestly at why we get caught, what we are really running from, and what it means to come home to a life that is fully awake. The Buddha never asked you to abandon your life — he asked you to stop being absent from it. 00:00 - Opening: This is Not a Judgment 02:22 - What We Think Matters 07:36 - Why We Don't See Clearly 13:41 - What We're Afraid to See 18:08 - What Truly Matters #BuddhistWisdom #KnowWhatTrulyMatters #Mindfulness #BuddhaTeachings #InnerPeace 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: "At our channel, we are committed to sharing the beauty and wisdom of Buddhist teachings with the purpose of education and inspiration.
