Ignoring problems to push solutions
About this lesson
Here's what most insurtechs do wrong and they don't realize it until it's too late. They build something. They go to heads of innovation at conferences, show what they built, and ask: "If I finish this, will you buy it?" They get a polite yes. They go build for six months. They come back with a $100,000 price tag. And then: no budget. No buyer. No deal. It's not because the product was bad. It's because nobody ever asked the right questions first. They weren't asking questions at all, they were just asking if you liked what they built. The same trap catches internal innovation teams too. If you shop a shiny tool around inside your company and ask "would you use this?", they'll tell you what you want to hear. And then they'll never use it. In Episode 178, Danilo Raponi, Group Head of Innovation at Generali, joins James live at InsurTech Insights London 2026. 📺 Full Episode → https://www.youtube.com/@theinsurtechgeekpodcast 🎧 Listen on Spotify → https://open.spotify.com/show/3T1RB0xtc7OPP5BgOm8f9P 🌐 insurtechgeek.com → https://insurtechgeek.com/ #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #InsurTech #InsurTechGeek #Insurance #FutureOfWork #InsuranceTechnology #Podcast #ITG
