In today's video, I'm going to teach you how to create an email sequence in Kit. An email sequence is simply a series of emails that send automatically over time so you can welcome new subscribers, nurture leads, or follow up with customers without having to send each message manually. By the end of this walkthrough, you'll know exactly how to set up a basic sequence from start to finish inside Kit. Once you're logged into your Kit account, look for the main navigation and go to the send section. Inside send, you'll see an option called sequences. This is where all of your automated email series live. Go ahead and click on sequences to open that page. Next, you're going to create a brand new sequence. Look for the button that says new sequence and click it. Kit will prompt you to give this sequence a name. Choose something that clearly describes its purpose, like new subscriber welcome or post purchase follow-up. A clear name makes it easier to stay organized later when you have multiple sequences running. Once your sequence is created, you'll be taken into the sequence editor. Here, you'll set up your first email. In the editor, start by adding your subject line. Make it specific and benefit focused so people actually want to open it. Then, in the main body area, write out the content of your first email. You can introduce yourself, explain what subscribers can expect next, or share your most important first message. Take your time here. This email often sets the tone for the entire sequence. After you're happy with the first email, it's time to add your follow-ups. In the sidebar, you'll see an option to add email. Click add email to create the next message in your sequence. A new email editor will appear where you can write the subject line and body for this second email, just like you did for the first. For each follow-up email, you'll also need to set a delay. In the sidebar, look for the delay setting and choose how long kit should wait before sending that particular email. For example, one day after the previous message. You can adjust these delays to match your strategy. Shorter delays for intensive campaigns, longer ones for slower nurturing. Finally, once each email is written and timed correctly, change its status from draft to published. Make sure every email in the sequence is set to published. Then click save. Your email sequence is now ready to run automatically whenever you connect it to the right trigger or audience inside Kit.
