99% of people use chat GPT without knowing how it works if you want to join the 1% save this video and let's break it down so chat GPT and tools like it run on something called large language models or llms it might sound fancy but it's actually kind of like a really really smart carrot stay with me here imagine you're texting a friend and you say let's grab a slice of what comes next pizza right that is basically what an llm does it the next word based on context but here's the twist instead of guessing what word you would say it's trained on billions of examples of how humans talk like every book every website every meme probably even the weird Reddit threads so when you type something it's not thinking like a human it's using probabilities it's scanning through everything it's learned and it's saying out of all the ways humans have used these words what's the most likely next word and then boom it makes its prediction now how does it get that smart well they feed it tons and tons of data like your brain on Final Suite but instead of cramming for a test it learns patterns grammar slang even Vib then it's tested with proms like write me a poem about tacos and if it says something like tacos are delicious great it's rewarded but if it says something like tacos live in the ocean not so great so the model keeps adjusting until it can actually predict words that are near human accuracy and this is also cool because llms don't actually understand anything it's just a massive supercharged autocomplete like it doesn't know what love is but it can write a love letter that will make you or your boyfriend cry so next time you're asking chat gbt for relationship advice remember that you're basically asking a math nerd who's just spitting out what it thinks you want to hear but hey if it helps you text your crush who's judging just don't tell them that you wrote it with chat GB
