Teaching is a science and an art. Now it is science because it is systematic. Now when it is systematic, then for that systematic teaching you have to do lesson planning and accordingly you have to improvise your matters. Teacher teaching has to be improved. So, a very important role in that lesson planning is played by Robert Glasser. Who introduced the Basic Teaching Model for Lesson Planning in 1962. Well, why is it called basic? Because it is very easy and in very early times it gave the lesson plan of the classroom or how you should run the classroom in a systematic manner so that you get maximum outcome. Children should learn as much as possible. So now this is very important. Why is it important now? Because we call this also called classroom meeting model. That means it is based on psychological foundation and you can teach your lesson inside the classroom through easy steps. Can do good teaching. There are four easy steps to this. That is why it is called basic teaching model. And further suitable to all. It is considered suitable for all classes , all subjects and all types of children. It is very basic. Now check points have been installed on it. Some principles were told that when we plan these lessons, we have to follow those principles. So how can the lesson plan of principle number one or check point number one be made good according to Glasser. Now the first one is with focus on all the elements of the lesson plan, that is, he has told four elements of the lesson plan, we have to do them in the end. He has to focus very closely on those four elements and each element is connected to each other. This is what focus means. The second is syntax i.e. structure. He created its structure and asked what would be the sequence of this structure? I have created this structure here. We have to discuss this in detail at the end. So this is about the structure of what your lesson planning should be like. Further Principle of Reaction Reflective Teaching Planning means that in this Glasser did not say that you have made a lesson plan. It has four steps and after completing it you go to the class and your teaching is over. No, he says there should be reflective teaching. There should be reflection that if you are not able to achieve your learning outcome in your lesson plan then you have to reflect again. Let's see how it can be improved. And then we have to come back from the fourth step to the third, from the third to the second and from the second to the first. So this was the principle of reaction social system. Well, who will have what role in this lesson plan ? That is, what will be the role of teachers and students towards each other? The teacher plays the central role in this. The teacher leads in this and the students follow him. So the role of the teacher is the main one in this. Number five support system. How the teacher should support the children. Now that he is leading, he will provide a conducive environment in support. He will lead it and further it is the teacher's job to provide learning facilities. Then the application, where to apply it, that is, for which people, for which children, for which classes is it suitable. First we discussed that this is a simple model. Therefore, it can be applied to any class, any topic and any subject. So these were the principles of the lesson plan, the check points that while making the lesson plan you have to keep these principles and these check points in mind. Now how will the lesson plan be made? The real thing is that he created four easy steps in lesson planning. The first step is to create instructional objectives within lesson planning. Now objectives are general, specific and behavioral. So it is general that after completing the entire topic, your intention is that children will be able to tell about pollution. If the topic is pollution then children should be able to tell about pollution. Further, when it becomes specific, then you have to include the subtopics of that topic also in the objectives. So they become specific. Now, when there is a behavioral objective, through the action verbs in it, it is necessary to know what the children will do? Will you make this list and show what pollution is? What is the cost of pollution? We will make a list of it. Then we will define air pollution. The teacher will assess him. So in this way it is defined through action verbs. This is called behavioral objectives. Second step: Entering behavior. You have to tell the children about pollution. So what do they know before that ? He is coming after seeing the outside environment. So you have to connect. Children talk about pollution like air pollution, noise pollution and nowadays light pollution. This is also an emerging type of pollution. Those high beam lights that are installed on motorcycles and vehicles, that light causes pollution. So it's going to be, what do kids know about him first ? So step number two in your lesson plan will be to review your previous knowledge about entering behavior. What did you do now? Yes, you have announced the lesson. What will be your procedure after announcing ? You have to get some activities done in it. First of all you have to do the introduction. Then further details and definition have to be given. So this will be the complete procedure. Instructional Procedure. Methodology will come inside this. All the things that the teacher practices inside the classroom are called instructional procedures. And what will happen in the end ? Yes, there will be assessment. Assessment will be done at the end. It will be checked to what extent the children understood what I taught. If you don't understand it, you can revise it once. You can also check those children about whom you suspect that these children struggle a little bit. So this is your number for the fourth step of assessment. So now what's inside it? Here we read the principle of reaction reflective teaching. Now this is logical, simple, so how is it? If you checked the assessment and felt that your desired objectives were not being met, then what should you do? You have to go back again. I have to improve my lesson plan again. Instructional procedures need to be improved. Similarly, you have to check the questions you have asked them regarding previous information. Then we have to see whether your objectives were specific? Was to the point. You also have to improve the objectives you have set. So this way it will form a kind of loop. When you do reflective teaching again, you will know where the problems were. So here you go back again and reach a new lesson plan. That means this is a continuous practice which you will keep improving.
