e e hi good afternoon everybody Welcome to our March episode of our uh webinar series gamify your lessons with plus point my name is Josephine and I'm the country manager here in Singapore together with me I have Tia uh for those of you who have been joining our webinar sessions you should be knowing both of us already all right Tia is now our c customer success manager and he she is also our speaker for today and for today's agenda we will be showcasing 10 different features or rather ways of uh features you know you can be using in class point to enhance the gamification in your a lot of you more than half of you thinks that gamification is a little bit more on Fun and Games as well so both of you or rather both of this submission or among all the other submissions it's further Ado I will now pass the time over to Tia to Kickstart our agenda for today Tia please thank you so much uh Josephine it's a great day March is here uh it's already a quarter of 2025 can you believe it oh my God uh can I have some you know uh positive words affirmation from everyone in the room you can send in over your uh Zoom chat so then we know that even though uh we're meeting online today we're not alone because we have all of you here with us oh someone sent their love thank you so much that's the first love for today second love and more loves thank you so much so um technology uh is this Advance uh making us uh able to see each other virtually even we can see the fun and um positive responses that uh is coming from you um so the first question from Josephine such a very challenging one was it which is uh what is the first word that comes to your mind when uh you say uh when I say gamification and then all of you are um all together agreed on uh some uh words uh there are some games here and there and then fun uh so we agree that uh having gamification in our classroom not only making it fun but then it feels like our uh students are um uh learning while they're also playing games with their teachers so making the learning fun they want it again so thank you so much uh this is such a great uh responses again I'm going to award uh stars to everyone and today's agenda uh which already been shared by Josephine uh in the beginning um today we are going to share uh a couple of ways and also use cases uh to do gamification in your classroom with class points if you haven't um had a classo installed go to class point.io and then install and have it available on your device um and as you can see I'm using my PowerPoint here uh so then you can use all of this fun great features uh with uh class point to do the gamification in your classroom oh I already have some um positive uh phrases sent in on the zoom chat um thanks for uh sending in thank you so much oh uh I hope that my sound is okay ah okay it's great okay let's start um May I know if everyone is uh already have class M install on their device uh you can send it your answer on the zoom chat uh and again thank you so much I know that some of you are joining from a different part of the world some of you saying good morning uh some saying good afternoon so good day to you all um have a great Friday uh so let's start with the first thing that I want to share on how to gamify uh your lessons with class Point ah you already installed class Point yes yes yes thank you so much okay the first thing that we just did uh which is we awarded you Stars right through the activity that we just had so the first um thing that I want to share with you is a ways more reasons toward stars to our students a couple of things that you can uh share on or on how you can um uh reward stars is if your students are coming in early as an example you can uh open the class code that you already have your students in here uh we can see that Ruth is the first passenger of the day I'm going to add um more star to Ruth so this way you are able to you know award stars to your students uh individually as well as award everyone with stars to start the day thank you everyone uh for being very positive today I'm going to award everyone the stars or you know if you have your student they um submit their assignment early you also can award them Stars uh you also can um you know search their name using a keyword uh search uh uh function available in here using some keyword in here let's say um her name is Ruth so you can uh write in Ru and then it will uh filter it only Ruth in here or you can also um add some uh other filter as well in here so then it will filter out um the people that you want to give stars to uh so not everyone so that's a couple of reasons for you to award stars in your class that way because I know that um one of you uh send in points uh when we talk about gamification and that's uh the deal when we're playing games uh we uh you know unlocking channel uh uh challenges right unlocking levels and then uh we get Awards which is uh the point system so this point system is built in in class point and really easy for you to uh use uh later on we will share a couple of other ways and how to set it up as well so this is the reason to word Stars right sometimes we also need to deduct Stars don't we have some naughty naughty students in our um class let's say uh we want to just just an example I will just randomly choose uh let's say uh Emily uh I will add more stars to you first Emily and then let's say oh Emily too bad um this uh week um your assignment is late or you know something like that or um you can uh do this reward and Punishment as a part of the gamification system in your classroom so not only awarding Stars you can also deduct Stars ah this is how you can dedu star so it was nine before and now um it went back to seven so again uh you know rewarding deducting uh this way your students will compete and have a healthy competitions uh between them in the classroom and making them not only engage but also motivate uh to get and gain more stars to be safe in the room next on uh that I want to share with you teachers um on how to accumulate stess uh so in class points not only that you can award and uh deduct uh the stars of your students but you can allow them to actually accumulate Stars how to do this uh you need to set up class and also you need to um adjust badges as well and levels as you wish I will sh share with you how and um if you have any questions uh please uh drop in on Zoom chat we will cover that um at the end of our session um so uh I just uh what I did I just uh press escape and then it bring me to this H edit mode of PowerPoint um on how uh to allow your students to accumulate Stars they will need to uh join your class um in a a saved class so then this Stars accumulation allows them uh when you use the same class uh the next day um on on the next class um Their Stars will be accumulated so they can collect it uh because if you use the public class then uh the the Stars will reset um if you use a different uh class so how to set that up uh really easy what you need to do is uh you go to the edit mode and then go to Ink no class Point uh this is the ribbon uh and then you click on my classes so as you can see these are all my classes and um you can add a new class so I'll share with you how to add a new class uh really easy yes sorry can you uh stop share and reshare your screen uh there are some participants who can't see your screen right now right okay thank you let me reshare thank you Josephine oh but um how is it on your end Josephine are you able to see my uh yes I'm able to see it now yeah thank you great okay thank you I'll repeat what I just did okay so um I'm on an edit mode um and then as you can see uh this is the features available in class wi and to set up a class what you need to do is click on my classes and then uh you can see these are all my classes in here I'll share with you on how to add a new class so having this uh classes uh uh with the participants in it allow your students to collect stars and accumulate it if you're using the same class um when the next time you're teaching um let me share with you uh this is our past webinar um all of the uh participants are still here and the stars are also still here um so this also goes to your classes um your students whenever they go back and uh join your class they will be uh able to see the accumulated stars that they have so on how to add a new class you just need to click add a new class and then name your class ABC test and then the class code uh testing one right just uh an example and then click next oh taken all right pressing oh okay it's also tast take Testo all right uh so this is a unique class code which means you are the only single person who has that class code in the entire world so then this class code uh will not be able to be uh uh you know taken by someone else and mistakenly uh you know different participants um will be joining in every single test is taken okay all right so let me just try this one it's also taken all right okay I hope this is not taken now let's check it out it's not taken okay so um then um there are a couple of ways that you can register your participants uh either you can type in their name in here um or you can import from a CSV uh and then uh the name will be automatically in uh uh added in here and then saved or the Third Way is um how I started the class today so you can um invite your students to join in using the QR code or link and then once they're in on your um class they will be saved so uh next time if they want to um join the class make sure that they need to use the same name so that's how you are able to set up your class or if you decided to uh do the Third Way which is um having them join using the QR code you also can click on finish uh you will have this notification you haven't added any parti partipants do you want to skip it now just press yes and then uh you just got uh your um sorry yeah you just uh got your um uh class created yeah I just realized that my video was off okay so that's how you can uh set up the class next thing that I want to share with you is how you can set up your badges so it's a gamification there's uh you know more fun if there are some levels that they can unlock some badges that they can get as well um and how uh to access this you can click on settings all right so this is that menu uh click on settings and then go to the gamification menu in here um you are able to uh adjust uh how many levels you want to have up until uh level 10 and you can edit the levels as well so uh I'll click on this edit levels so you can um decide how many stars that they will uh they will need to collect if they want to level up level one level two so these are a couple of different badges available um so you can adjust this uh so let's say they need to collect 10 first and then and next is they need to collect 15 and then they can go to the next levels and you can save uh save these levels right or you can reset uh uh to a default settings if you want to reset everything I'll share with you on how to reset later on uh so that's s your gamification Badges and levels are set so I'd like to uh take you to see how these levels and badges Works uh I'll go to uh Live slideshow again and then I'll let you know via my class coing here right we have 95 participants again uh Ruth I'm going to share uh more stars to you so then we can see how Ruth is actually changing the level from level one to level two the badge is also new and let's say I want Ruth to uh uh uh you know she's collected she's very active in the room and then I add more stars allowing her to uh level up again so again this is how uh your students are able to compete each other and see how their uh badges attached to them as well you can see on your participant site on class. apppp um your badge and also the uh number of stars that you have collected so far and also if I deduct the stars um it previously it's a batch three now it went back to batch two so that's how the gamification works I hope that this uh gamification um built-in system in class one can help you uh gamify your lessons uh better in the classroom so that's about um uh accumulate uh the Stars next that I want to share with you teachers um how we can adjust Stars right uh because times uh in the classroom there are some conditions that oh okay I need to adjust Stars I have some uh some of my teachers colleague they uh have an Excel sheet where they when where they need to adjust the Stars if they want to add uh but then the sometimes uh we want to do it after the class is finished right uh and then or maybe we put it down on our uh notebook and then we want to adjust the Stars after the class is dismissed and not during the class we can do that so after the class or we can also adjust Stars how to do do that do that there are two ways uh first is stay on your PowerPoint uh and then uh you can go to your classes uh the class where you um have your participants in and then what you can do um I will go uh with this one um it's still ongoing but after let's say the class is uh done and then you want to adjust the Stars you can uh go to uh your class and then you can go to the participants where you want to adjust their Stars uh for an example oird I'm going to adjust his stars in here what you can do is H hover over to his name and then go to this three little dots in here click on that one and then adjust the Stars this way you are able to adjust whether you want to deduct or you uh you want to uh add more stars to osbert without having to interrupt your class session all right so uh this is the first way then I'll save them so Birds now on V to uh and then what you can also do you can go to reports you can go to uh app. class Point uh where you can um access your dashboard or you can uh click it here it will bring you over to our uh web uh so this is where you can see all of the reports it's also uh can um recognize that we have an ongoing class right now so what you can do we want to adjust the Stars right you can go to classes and these are all the classes similar uh same class that you have on your PowerPoint with class point and then you can click on the uh class uh with the participants that you want to adjust the Stars again I want to adjust uh osber stars and then uh again you can hover over over his name oops sorry so just click on his name uh and then you'll be able to uh either award stars or deduct Stars so award stars or deduct stars or you can also adjust just like um uh so you can edit uh uh like his Avatar and his name as well without having to go and open your PowerPoint you also can do this on your phone that's uh that's uh really handy uh so then um you know after class uh during your lunch break uh you're able to adjust the star so you won't forget so those are a couple of ways on how you are able to adjust uh the stars and uh after the class on the uh PowerPoint with class point or um on the uh web and last before we go to the first uh break session uh is resetting class sorry resetting stars to start over the competition all right let's say it's a new semester uh your students are already uh collected stars um three of them already reached level 10 so you want to reset their Stars so you can uh do uh by uh staying on your uh stay on your PowerPoint and then uh you can access my classes again uh you can access the class where you want to reset their Stars uh so let's say I want to uh restart uh this one uh so I will choose this class and then I'll click on reset stops and then you will have this notification reset class will change all participant stars back to zero confirm resetting the class uh this cannot be done if yes then your participants stay not the Stars right you can see that stars are now zero so start over competition start from zero uh you can start everything uh up uh again uh so then uh it's a new start new competition uh it doesn't take uh a lot of effort and settings and adjustments uh just reset stars and then if you want to reset uh your badges you're also able to do that and you can start over uh new semester new class uh new stars new competition so that's uh our checkpoint for today um for now I will give the floor back to Josephine for the recap great thank you Tia that's a a really handful of you know different informations uh uh all in all about stars awarding stars deduct Stars accumulating Stars you know uh adjusting the Stars even after the class as well as resetting the Stars so thank you so much for you know uh sharing with us all these different features uh very quick recap for all of you the first one was uh some reasonings you know behind uh awarding Stars you know for example like being active answering correctly uh handing up their homework on time Etc you know so for awarding stars uh you can actually go into the my class window for those of you who are unsure what is my Class Window is basically for you to just click on the class code where you see the uh QR code uh coming up you know with your students names uh being joined in and stuff like that that is actually our my Class Window all right so from there you will be able to uh uh award the Stars individually by hovering over to their name uh and then uh similarly to deduct Stars uh you can also remain on the uh window to deduct them uh Their Stars by clicking on the down red color arrow button all right to deduct the stars for both awarding and deducting uh one click each will remove and uh add on one star so if you want to award or deduct multiple stars then you will have to click over multiple times all right so that will be for uh awarding as well as uh deducting the stars and as of the accumulating of stars the third feature or the thirdd uh uh thing that Tia have shared with us earlier on was to have the star being accumulated so what you first have to do is to create the class list the respective class list so that whenever you are going to teach the uh specific class all right remember to turn them on uh in your slideshow mode all right by going into class code uh and select the respective class and with that all of their progress will be saved and accumulated over time all right and next was the adjusting of stars after the classes all right so uh go into the class list the one where you create the uh different list uh class list that you have in your class all right click on the three dot menu beside the students name and from there you can quickly adjust the number of STS from there and lastly it will be the uh resetting of stars all right so in class list if let's say you want to restart all of their Stars let's say you are going to put up a termly uh uh leaderboard for example you know so towards the end of the term you would like to reset the Stars uh on the bottom left corner there is a restart a reset Stars button all right you can just click on it and all of their progress will uh go back down to zero but uh something to highlight you know is that if you like to keep a copy uh of their previous um leaderboard already before you click on the reset button uh remember to do a export first you can actually export a copy of the current class list so that you will be able to keep a copy of how they are already doing uh from that from that particular term all right so uh that is all uh of the very quick recap of the five different uh uh pointers that Tia have shared with us earlier on uh if you guys have any questions uh feel free to drop them in the zoom chat and uh very quick shout out to B thank you for answering the uh questions uh for us uh so far there are questions but Tia but has uh assisted Us in the answering but there is actually something for you Tia because earlier on uh uh uh there's a user here you know who was uh sharing the US so if let's say they have uh 10 sessions of 990 minutes in a course all right so um how do they go about it you know do I like uh code it as session one session two session three or uh should I you know uh just put it as a one class code for them to join throughout these 10 different sessions so that their uh uh progress will actually be safe and accumulated perhaps you can just do a very quick sharing on this part yeah you uh Josephine so actually we're going to share that at the end uh which just that's on our leaderboard part but then again if the participants are the same um you can use the same class code of course and then um how to uh make sure that um you know in this class they collected how many stars in that class how many stars um it's the report will always available on your uh web app uh just now that I Shar with you uh which is uh this one so you will be able to see uh just an example I'll go to reports so these are all uh the uh sessions that I have so you can uh really deep dive and see uh you know how your um stars are I mean your participants are doing um that particular class the activities and also the stars that you awarded who are the um you know the uh the top uh leader on that class session and stuff so you can have it in here uh but yeah so this is an example how many stars where are awarded to that particular uh person on that class uh so this way really neat uh you can uh see uh the report on your uh web app I hope that answered um Josephine yeah a lot more we will cover uh at the end of the session so don't go away stay yes stay with us all right thank you Tia uh there's another clarification uh let me probably do a very quick summary for you so uh I teach all right so she is's uh he or she is actually having the same PowerPoint using the same PowerPoint for two different classes so as such uh should they actually uh create two different class codes uh respectively for class A and Class B even if I'm using the same PowerPoint such a great question so uh the answer is you able to um use multiple PowerPoint files only using one class code and then uh using the same class code will uh you know accumulate Stars you don't have to you know this class code for this PowerPoint I'll I'll share with you how let me just open a new PowerPoint uh yeah we'll just yeah on this one is it opening yes okay so this is a different um deck that I use right and then if I go to slideshow uh the class code will remain the same in three two one it's going to be here but yeah um you are able to um use you know multiple uh uh uh files in one session uh without having to change your class code let me just open the class code yeah so yeah let me just reshare it's raining quite hard in my place let allow me to just turn off uh my video guys so then um yeah will load better but yeah uh I hope that um answer your question just y yes yes so uh just just a very quick um summary you know uh all in all if you're are using the uh same PowerPoint uh for different classes uh you can create uh different class code respectively but we do not need you to uh uh create multiple uh copies of the same PowerPoint uh just for different classes for the different class list it's mainly for the different group of um students like student group a as well as student Group B uh but you do not need to uh have multiple copy of the same PowerPoint because all the uh uh stars and everything you know it will actually be Ted to the specific class list all right so I hope uh that do answer your um question all right so uh Tia I will now uh just to check are you ready before I pass the time back to you yeah all right great all right so uh I will now pass the time over back to Tia to show us more different ways on how you can include gamification in your lessons uh with class Point Tia please thank you Josephine um so such great questions keep them coming teachers um and we're going to cover a lot more uh ways and use cases on how you can gamify your lessons with class point just using your PowerPoint in your classroom um so more uh coming uh first thing that I want to share with you is uh with class Point as you know we have a couple of different interactive quiz uh types available right um and you can actually use Stars uh with the activity or you can reward stars um using your activity an example is um how we um had that in the beginning uh which is uh you um send in your answers uh using a word cloud activity and then we uh give you Stars uh for it uh the next example that I want to uh share with you is um using one of our question types just a reminder these are all our question types from multiple choice up until video upload uh and I'm going to use short answer for this one uh please um if you haven't joined our uh class code come and join uh gamify CP go to class. apppp and then uh uh uh uh you know join the class using the class code gamify CP and then send in your answer um the answer I mean the question is let me just start uh the activity how do you measure the success of gamification in your classroom please send in your short answer um I'm using a different type of um question type here uh it allows you to send in more characters up until 1,500 characters so you can use it for essay as well for your students I can see that um answers are already pouring in five people um and then let me just open that engagement correct answers by the responses of students using Stars increase motivation and engagement higher level of Engagement uh and then students participation through a rubric okay great measurement analyzing the number of questions answered correctly right uh points uhuh student engagement again another student engagement students are engaged okay student motivate to learn excellent participation yep uh students look forward to next lesson ah yes yes yes yes to this uh and then gamification successful when students are engaged a lot of people answering engag uh engaged engagement great when students actively participate so that's a measurement that the gamification really works yeah and then they are looking forward for the next lesson yes the quantity of responses ah students are engaged throughout the lessons great ah again yep when students are fully engaged and responsive yes it's a great class indeed it's an active class indeed participation excellent understanding wow okay great such a great answers and you know um what I will do now actually you can keep your um answers coming in um and then uh what I will do I will award stars to selected answers right we can see that a lot of a lot of you actually answering engaging engagement engaged right I want to search that word and I want to award stars to those who actually send in that answer how to do that it's going to be quite difficult right if I you know go through one by one what we can do is actually uh allow me to close the admission first teachers so what you can do you can actually search the name or answer in here so let me just uh oh sorry engage all right so we have um out of how many people out of 50 responses that I received I have 22 of them actually uh uh sending engage as part of their answers what I will do I will award two stars to those who actually answering engage so this way you're able to give uh stars to selected answers or even selected students as well let's say I want to um give uh all right so I want to give stars to the selected students l i and r a let's say ah I have 11 so I have four Li and then uh the rest are R A so this way you are able to filter uh filter through H not only the answerers but also the um students that you want to reort the Stars let me uh reort the Stars to l i and r a so again uh this is a shortcut on how uh you can maximize the usage of your uh quiz activity with class points and um of course uh do a gamification and a lot more advanced uh you can filter through the answers um as well as uh check uh the names uh uh sorry filtering through the word or the name and then you can give them uh stars to the selected ones so that's number one uh we just uh uh using the quiz type of class Point uh and then uh use gamification the next one that I want to share with you that uh there's one um feature quiz uh question type uh feature in class that allows you um to award automatic stars to your students which is the quiz mode on our multiple choice question um how to do that really easy um I have prepared one slide in here right this is a slide um it has a question it has an option what you can do of course uh you can select multiple choice as the uh question type and then it will open this um slide panel uh so you can set up a lot more uh and you can adjust the button as well let me just uh put it there and then number of choices so it matches if you want to add more um random ABC uh you can change that into five and you can also allow selecting multiple choices as well and you can um you know allow um correct answer so for an example I set this up uh let's say B is the correct answer now if you want your students to get an automatic Stars if they answer correct ly you can turn on this quiz mode right and when that turned on you can decide whether this question is under a type of easy intermediate or difficult so let's say if you set this out in intermediate so those students who answer correctly they will automatically be rewarded two stars after the uh submitt submission is sent and then the correct answer is open by the teacher I'll show you how it goes please send in your answer some of you can send wrong answer as well or if you want to get the automatic Stars you can send in b as the right answer so uh this uh type of question allows you to uh collect answers uh in multiple choices right of course everyone will choose B someone choose D some Cho choose C okay uh so this is how you can uh see it uh as well the percentages Are all uh done automatically as well uh allow me to close the submission thank you everyone and then when I do um it will show the correct answer right it will uh show that b is the correct answer and these 38 people when I close uh this activity box you will be rewarded with uh two additional Stars you can check um on your uh uh participant site so this way your students if they're doing quiz not only that you can award them stars um manually but they can get um automatic Stars by answering correctly and multiple chice with quiz mode allows you to have a quiz summary so then you can see uh who are those who answered uh correctly and then the stars that they uh collected as well uh and those uh if you click on the show quiz responses you can see the answer that they sent in and you can download the report this report is available in Excel sheet uh so it allows you to analyze um the result um of the quiz and it's really good if you want to uh do this uh as a you know uh exam preparation with your students let's say and then uh you can see the uh stars then will be um added automatically based on how many uh correct answers that they have let me just reopen that all right okay so I hope that you H get the chance to try this on and let us know how it goes uh this is how it looks like when it's converted to an Excel sheet and this is the total Stars uh that they get based on the correct answers that uh they answered all right so that's quiz mode uh let me just close that one I'll go back to my PowerPoint uh let me see how many of you uh already uh tried this out um next one what we want to share uh of course all of us really like to randomly select or call out our students in the classroom um in in with class Point uh we have name figure where you can pick names and uh you can award stars to them as well let's say you want to randomly ask some questions or point out uh to test them uh with uh some things and award them with stars if they answer correctly what you can do you can um click on this name picker right on your toolbar and then it will open this wheel of name right it has two views uh it has the wheel of names or uh name card uh you know card card um a picture card like this if you want to randomly uh select your students and then call out the name uh you can just click on that um wheel of names and then sunti got chosen and then sunti can you please answer this question such and such and then she answer it correctly and then you can award her some Stars um that goes the same if you want to go with a card view uh let's say Santi before you go back in can you please choose one of the card right here uh pizza I should order pizza today uh you can open that Jess got chosen okay Jess can you answer the next question and then Jess got uh the next question correct uh you can award a star to J as well and not only that not only you are able to um uh you know award Stars you also can put them back as well uh let's say want to uh search from the beginning uh I'll go back to will View and then you can toggle here to see who already got chosen and then if you want you can put them back as well um so not only can choose them randomly one by one you also can create temporary group using the name Pier how to do that there's an aut Topic in here so let's say I have 30 uh students in my class I want to group um five uh people uh uh you know uh in one group what I can do I can go for this autop pick and then I can select how many uh names I want to pick and then uh this is the first group that I have what I will do I will screenshot this one right I'll screenshot this uh and then uh I will go outside my PowerPoint slide right I will add uh another slide and then okay so this is group one and then I can name uh using the annotations that we have in here right so uh this way it's really um easy for you uh to uh create a group uh and then let's say this one is group uh ABC uh so they're able to see their group name and again if you want to um choose another group you can go uh uh to pick another one again autop pick you can pick H five uh so then uh there you go uh you can get the next group and then what you can do let's say okay this is group two right and group two uh you ask them for presentation you want to award them Stars you also can uh go and uh you know based on their name uh you can um award them stars like uh when and then the other uh name was Jess let's say so you can uh give them stars um selecting it so these are a couple of ways that you can use uh with a name picker um if you want to have uh this is a temporary group right um if you want to have a group that stays a fixed or permanently we have actually a feature called grouping um now with the grouping feature and the this grouping feature is only available in our uh premium license uh you can contact uh our sales team uh if you want to learn more about it or you can uh contact uh our te team as well we'll share with you the details at the end of the webinar but this grouping um allows you to create a group um that stays permanently um and together as a group they can collect Stars this is how it looks like um I'll share with you how uh right um using the same thing which is you can go to in class Point uh you can access your my classes um and then uh you can see that there are some groups in here uh available already right uh I have uh this um uh uh 81 participants with 17 groups so um I'll click on that one and then this is the group that I can uh have so just an example let me just uh Delete the okay yeah so you can delete the group let me just C delete the group really quickly to share with you how easy it is uh to create a group and not only that you can create group but you can um swap the participants so let's say you have some groups that are really active uh some participants are really active in some groups uh there are some groups that have non-active participants so you can swap them around okay so this is what it looks like when you have a grouping system or grouping feature in class point you have 48 um uh participants let's say in your uh class you can click on groups and then you can uh do add new group one by one or you can do automatic group using our Ai and then just like before I want to have five uh participants in one uh group then there you go uh it's all uh grouped really fast and when I um you know give them uh Stars uh individually they are contributing to the group uh so as a group they can uh together collect the Stars so it's really um fun uh and also you know it's fun to compete with not only by yourself but also as a group um your students will will be uh you know we have uh will have a sense of belonging to each other and help each other as well another level of um having an engagement in the classroom using gamification so this is a grouping system um everyone and um last but not least that I want to share of course uh we want to share how are they doing right with all the stars that we awarded uh the start with we deducted the they collected we have leaderboard so in class point there are two ways that you can um two places that you can um access the leaderboard first in our class code um if you open them the leaderboard is right here or if you during your presentation or during your uh material you can access them on your toolbar which is right here click on them and then the leaderboard uh will be showing in here it will show two kinds of lead board and when you show this up this will also push a notification on your uh participants app they will be able to see their rank so we can see that number one is rof uh followed uh by the others uh on number two and number three um you can also see the current class rank so this is to answer the earlier question how do I um determine who you know the the the one that is active on this class and the next class so this is how you can um share share and check um who are uh the participants who are active on this session only and also uh total uh Stars rank which is uh the total accumulation uh stars that they have not only that if you have the grouping uh feature in class point you can also share with them the group rank however I don't have it uh with me uh but then it will show the the group rank um that uh the as together as a group uh they collected the Stars so this is um all the gamification um use cases features that you can use in class one I hope that you're able to apply this on your next class let us know how it goes um and let us know as well if you have some ideas or you know some experience that you can share with us uh so then it will be a best practice and good practice for other uh teachers as well I I'll give the floor back to Josephine the floor is yours thank you Tia that's a really wonderful uh sharing you know you have prepared for us there's so many things that we can do in class Point uh you know revolving all around uh gamification Stars you know so just a very quick recap for all of you guys uh the first one was using stars with activities so you know awarding stars to students based on um the word you know like for example earlier on we have tried with the short answer activity you know uh to actually filter out the word uh sorry was it engage yes engage you know and then uh uh she actually did the uh Stars Waring from there you know so uh apart from that you know there is something you guys can do in your classes and afterwards you can also remove out the uh word filtering and award stars to everybody once again you know just for an encouragement for them to move forward even if uh for those who do not have the specific words that you're actually looking for in the activity all right and um the O2 STS awarding with quis mode so earlier on like uh what you guys have tried for most of you who wanted the Stars you know you choose B uh you know so that is actually how you guys can create the uh Auto Stars Waring with quiz mode uh just simply turn on the quiz mode uh toggle on McQ you know and then uh choose the number of stars or one two or three stars all right and then for the students who have answered it correctly they will be able to get um the Stars being awarded automatically all right and next was the picking of name as well as awarding of stars so like what you guys have also seen earlier on you can pick the students name from either the wheel view or thecut view uh these two views actually in synct so uh let's say you are using uh first half of the class you are using the wheel View and the second half of the class if let's say you want to have a change you know going into the p uh sorry going into the cut view all right the pck names will remain open in the cut view so uh this is to ensure that all students do stand a chance to uh participate in your class all right it will not repeatly uh pick out the same uh students who have already uh gotten their name picked all right so that will be the uh name picking uh and you can also do a very quick temporary uh grouping out of the uh name picker feature by clicking on the auto pay all right so you can choose all the way up to 10 different uh names from there as well all right so that will be the uh picking names uh next would be the grouping so for grouping as well as collecting sta something to highlight again is that grouping is only available in our premium subscription so if you are currently on either free or Pro feature uh you will not be having this grouping available on your end uh but something to highlight is that it allows you to uh group up the students respectively in the uh classes that you have created and allowing them to progress as a group instead of progressing in the visually and lastly would be the uh leaderboard feature that we have seen so there are actually two different views available one is a current class ranking view as well as a total stass ranking view so if you have your um class list created every time when you are going into that particular class you can select them so that you will uh have all of their uh stars and progress being safe and accumulated then that is actually where when you are viewing the leaderboards uh that will be a two differences between the current Class View as well as the total Stars view all right so uh again and if you're are still on the uh Premium plan all right you will then be able to view the uh group ranking as well all right so if all of you or any of you you know have any questions uh feel free to drop them in the zoom chat all right but before we go into the Q&A section I would like to share with all of you our latest update that we have uh currently on class it's currently on version 2.6.1 16.0 there are actually two different updates uh in this particular version uh the first one it actually allows you to hide annotation tools during presentation mode so cently as you are seeing um Tia's uh uh screen sharing uh on presentation mode uh uh under the two bar at the bottom all right you see a range of different annotation tools together with quite a number of our uh class Point features out there so for example if in your class you are sure to know that you are not going to be using um annotation tools you know uh we now have this feature for you to hide them so that your two bar looks a little bit more shorter all right uh it's not so much filled with the uh different buttons icons that you are seeing anymore so that is actually the first update alongside uh the second update within this particular latest update that we have is the AI class vort summary that you have been uh receiving it via email all right so now it is currently going to be available directly in your class points uh web report all right the the website where earlier on TIA was social sharing us uh whenever we see back our class passes uh class P classes reports all right uh the AI summary report is now going to be available there as well so you can now view directly uh on our rep report so now I'll just get Tia uh to show us these two latest update that I've just shared with all of you Tia please Josephine yep uh make sure teachers uh your class point is updated with the latest version uh you can check them on um how to make sure that my uh version is up to date uh go to your class Point go to settings and then go to about uh so this is where you can check whether your version is up uh to date it's 26160 that's the latest one and um just now Josephine shared with us uh how to hide the um annotations so if you want to have a cleaner look uh again you're not using your annotation tools you want to directly use some um gamification uh features let's say uh on your toolbar you can access them uh by clicking this slideshow menu and then untick this show annotation tools it will give you the preview um and then if you close that one uh and then you bring up the Live slideshow uh here you go so it it has a cleaner look so then you can focus on the tools that you want to use on on your class and AI course report uh again um on your I'm always you know waiting for the AI summary to arrive on my uh email to see how I how my uh class did um now not only on the email now we also sending it and all saved on your class report so you can uh click on the uh uh past activities that you had uh this is an example so this AI summary right here you don't have to uh uh you know uh toggle between your email and your class report uh because it's also here so yep that's the latest update uh I'll give the floor back to you Josephine great thank you Tia so those are the two uh updates that we have uh in this current latest version so for teachers or for those of you who are interested to know more about class point or like to book a demo with us uh feel ready for this yes let's start it all right great all right so the first question is uh can we edit the names of the participants in the group if we need to reshuffle them or you know if there's any odd number of students resulting in those uh who are not joined into the group yes uh the answer to this to that is yes let me share with you how again what you can do you can go to your classes and then uh go to those groups that you want to um edit so you can click on the groups uh so we have in here one that only have uh three people on uh on it right so maybe we want to delete this group and uh assign the participants to the uh uh different group so what we can do we can uh you know uh move out out this group and then go to this group and then add in harano in here sorry let me just go that there again yeah so let me edit that uh so you can uh ungroup it and then uh you can uh group Haro on a different uh group so you can um manually add uh the members in here uh by adding uh the name you can show all uh in here so let's say you want uh jumiati to become Azure so it will change automatically orang to Azure right so now um um this Azure group it has seven groups right so that's how you can change stuff I hope that answers yep great thank you Tia uh the next question is uh a little bit off from uh what we have a little bit of yeah uh it's two in one it's a two in one question the first one is is there a function to award stars to uh those who uh answered theaster so for that I think uh we would be making use of the uh McQ quiz mode because the starts awarding uh it will be automatically awarding to um those who got it correctly but uh specifically for those who answered fastest I don't think we have that feature available yet in class Point yeah and the next one uh was uh the Q&A feature that we have in class Point uh that is uh just a hits up everybody uh the Q&A feature in class point it's a uh premium feature all right so uh with that uh the question is can the function be open throughout the lesson so that he acts like a chat function and they can award stars for those who have asked um questions for students yeah oh yeah there's actually um and thank you for revealing that secret that's another way to uh do a gamification in the classroom which is using the Q&A excellent finding um all right so the first uh question first yes we don't have um at the moment we don't have the function where you are able to um automatically reward stars um for the fastest but with McQ um what you also can do let me just open uh the how do I do that downloads okay so if you remember I have this one downloaded right ah so this is the result of our gamification uh sorry um the qu mode um let me just reopen that again uh the quiz mode um from multiple choice questions it has the speed seconds so let's say if you want to add more stars to those people uh you can um directly see uh this report in here and uh give the Stars to those selected with the fastest um answer so an additional Stars let's say uh so you can do that um so that's number one number two is Q&A yep so I noticed that some of you actually sent in a question uh Q&A is another feature that uh class Point has in its premium uh license so it's right here the answer is yes you can allow the Q&A to um act as a a chat or uh you know be open throughout your lessons this way um you can uh collect the questions uh or um answers from your students without having to inter interupt your flow and the uh other answer is also yes you can uh give them stars as well um for those who answer uh or give out the question and those that you answer them live you can Mark uh as answered and then uh we will separate those answered one so it will give you a cleaner look you know which questions uh need to be addressed on the next lesson let's say like that and you can also see in here there are some uh uh like buttons uh 3 two 0 you can up vote so your students can up vote uh the questions sent in by other participant this way um it's another level of gamification that you can use with your students okay let's vote and then those uh that won the vote I'll add um you know two stars so that's another gamification so yeah I hope that uh this will give you another uh idea on how to make use of the features in class M for your gamification in the classroom back to you Jose great great thank you Tia that's definitely a very good idea you know uh together with the one where you export the uh uh quiz summary you know and then from there looking at the timing adjusting the Stars respectively for the students as well that's definitely additional idea that we have uh just revealed all right the next question is uh um how do I ensure the different PowerPoint uh using the same class code oh yeah I wasn't able to share with you that it's indeed using a different class code yeah let me open a different uh PowerPoint file okay I will open three of them let me just okay right so I have three different uh PowerPoint uh open now let's just wait until those uploaded okay all right so uh I have one two three right one two three uh I'll open with this one I'll go to the slideshow um and then oh I think you need to enable editing first oh private power at the moment thank you for that so yeah that's a a good case uh Josephine so teachers if you are about to open the class coat make sure that you enable the editing uh so then you are able to share the class coat there right here you go so the class code is still the same gamify CP as well as if you go back to the main deck that we're using for today uh and then if you go to the live slide show uh the class code will also still gamify CP uh yeah I hope that aners yes thank you Tia the next question is can class Point work on iPad as well um is it for the teacher or for the students the teacher yeah so at the moment uh class wi runs on a Windows um operating system um so um it allows to uh use you allow to use all class Point features under PowerPoint slide so if your um iPad has an Windows operating system like virtual machine running on it and then you are able to down uh have the desktop version of PowerPoint then yes you can uh but if not then um it is to be a Windows device uh so yeah making sure that uh the operating system is uh Windows based yep but to also add on uh to what Tia has mentioned uh our team is currently working uh to have a web based version of class Point coming out so uh once that is available uh you will also be able to use uh class point on your iPad as well all right so I hope uh that do answer the questions uh and you guys will be looking forward to that version as well all right uh Tia the next question is how do we reset the answers when um sharing the PowerPoint across different classes do we have to manually reset it um Slide by slide or if there's any other ways for us to do that excellent question so um let me save uh uh this file first let me save as this so this is what I like to do uh teachers uh you need to have the main file U if you're teaching uh throughout different classes of course you don't want to uh lose the responses that you collected with your students right um so what you can do let me just go and then uh save it here with responses right all right okay so then I'm not going to lose uh my uh uh responses the answer to that yes we have a shortcut what you can do um on your in class Point menu uh click on reset and then you can delete all responses I'll share with you uh I'll put this close together so this green buttons means that you have um responses in it right um and then Blue Button means that um it's still new you don't have any respons saved in it um so when you reset it so you can click and select the lead all responses you will have this warning this will delete all activity responses saved in this file would you like to continue yes and then there you go it's blue so then uh it's uh you don't have to go and uh Delete manually it will also delete the first one that we had uh which is the uh this one as well and don't forget uh don't forget to save as it so then you won't be saving on your main file uh so then you won't lose the responses but I'm saying a lot of but don't forget that we have our web report so all the responses that were sent in are saved in here so don't worry um all of the uh you know the responses that your students are uh sending uh let me just just an example I have two activities in here yeah so you can see that uh there are responses sent here based on the slide that we use on PPT so yeah than yes thank you Tia for sharing uh I I I know that you know uh there are still quite a number of questions uh left unanswered all right but due to time constraint uh we will actually consolidate uh some of the uh different uh questions that were left unanswered we will actually uh answer you guys via uh email uh after the session as well so do keep a look out uh I will now
