FIN Edge2Cloud Feature Highlight: Dynamic Markers

[Music] Welcome to another quick EdgetoCloud feature highlight. In this video, we're going to show you how to make your site markers smarter by adding dynamic status indicators right to the EdgetoCloud home dashboard. By default, each site appears as a standard pin on the dashboard map. But what if you could show a live status like maintenance, alarm, or disabled with its own color and label? Let's take a look at how that works. Here in Finn Framework, I've got the DB builder application open. From the equipment tree, I'll select the site I want to modify. In this case, the city center. To enable dynamic status on this site's marker, we'll use a special tag called fin cur site status. Each value assigned to this tag will automatically change the color and label of the site marker in Edge to cloud. Here's a quick look at the available status options, including disabled, down, fault, alarm, overridden, non-commissioned, maintenance, okay, and unknown. each with a unique color and display name. Now, let's apply it. I'll add the tag fin kur site status to the city center site record and set its value to maintenance. Back in Edge to cloud after a quick refresh, you'll notice the city center marker has updated both in color and with a status label that appears when clicked. This gives users an instant view of what's happening at each location right from the main dashboard. And the best part this can be fully automated using the logic builder application in fin framework. You can dynamically update the fin cur site status tag based on live parameters like equipment health alarms or custom logic conditions you define. Thanks for watching.
