Coursera · Intermediate ·📰 AI News & Updates ·1mo ago
This course will be useful to anyone who wants to gain the skills necessary to use Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to automate tasks in Excel such as collecting data from external sources, cleaning, and manipulating data. You will begin by identifying components of macro-enabled workbooks and configuring the Excel VBA environment. You'll also automate repetitive tasks by using the macro recorder, recording a macro with relative addressing, deleting macros and modules, and identifying strategies for using the macro recorded. Then, you'll use VBA help, use the object browser, and use the immediate window to explore object properties and methods. This is the first course in a multi-course Specialization. All of the courses in this Specialization require that you have a recent version of Microsoft Excel installed. The course setup instructions provided in the first module of this course go into more detail about the hardware and software requirements.
