what if there is a Cyber attack in your environment who on your team or across your organization is going to respond that's why I'm here to talk to you today I'm Demetrius malbro Cloud Advocate right here at Veritas in tldr fashion I want to talk to you about cyber security First Responders and how critical it is that you have a team that's already identified that will leap into action if an event happens in your environment now the first thing that you need is an incident response plan and that incident response plan is going to be something that has everything well defined the parties of who will do what when they will do it from your cyber security teams it storage backup HR and even legal now that's critical the next thing that you need to make sure you do and if you do not have this then it's going to be really critical and your business may be crippled because you don't have good backups in your environment now one way to keep your backups protected is by having immutable backups or storing those backups on immutable storage now that's going going to keep cyber attackers away from the ability to modify change or even delete those backups as well now you also want to make sure that you are adhering to the 321 backup rule or strategy three different copies on two different types of media and making sure one of those are stored offsite somewhere as well and the third thing that you want to do is you're making sure that you are practicing all of your teams are practicing the recovery not only that they're practicing the recovery like tabletop exercises but you are recovering in a clean room or an isolated recovery environment that is completely isolated and air gapped away from your production systems so these are super critical things that you need especially when you have identified your cyber security First Responders within your environment so they can all work together in a stress stressfree environment in order to LEAP into action to recover your data so your business can resume operations go ahead and hit that like button if you like this video share it as well and I'll see you in the next tldd video
