[Music] I'm Matt wesa I'm the head of production at six to start uh we make zombies run which is a kind of audio Fitness Adventure game where you head out into the real world jogging or on a treadmill you put your headphones in and we use audio to immerse you in a zombie apocalypse adventure story America has been Far and Away the largest audience that we've had um but we've also seen um quite a lot of uh presence in countries where there are um large English as a second language Community making sure we were addressing that Global audience is something that's been on our minds for quite a long time we were looking for uh trans perfect to help us localize all the strings inside of our apps UI and there was the narrative side which comprised uh the audio and also the narrative text trans perfect handled pretty much the full production stack so casting all the way through to recording localizing narrative text sections consistency of character voice is so fundamental to this project the characters are the reason that people love Zombies Run and we want to make sure that people get that experience whatever language the team at trans perfect cared a lot about uh telling the story correctly we have a lot of unique phrases in Zombies Run and being able to feedback on those things once and have the meaning for those carry through the whole time it makes it feel like one person wrote it rather than it was uh written by someone in English and then translated by somebody else we had to really believe that the people we were going to work with had a lot of experience in long form narrative and then they had a lot of respect for the creativity behind that kind of Storytelling and that's what we got in trans perfect we got a demo of Studio next and we saw that um it's an incredibly kind of live and responsive recording environment for the actor they get playback of the original performance which was helps guide them and also it really helps the timing sync up as well and we were able to collaborate with trans perfect uh in such a detailed way that the audio we produced without speaking the languages uh when we passed it through the localized QA process we had an error rate of lower than 2% on the audio files that we produced that gave us a high degree of confidence that our players were going to get great quality audio so it was just a win-win for us what I would say uh to a company considering working with trans perfect is that you're going to be in really safe hands we've felt that our creativity has been respected from day one but also our time and uh the details of the process have just been really solid [Applause] [Music]
