OpenAI has released "ChatGPT agent", a new way for ChatGPT to search and shop for users while they're doing other things.
The impact is going to be huge. Every ChatGPT user, free and paid subscriber, will have a personal shopper who can complete complex searches for products and services people need.
It may start simple, with ChatGPT agents shopping for smaller purchases, like occasional clothes purchases or grocery orders, but in the long term, this method may become the default way that many people complete large parts of the buying journey.
