Provides practice test questions on authentication protocols for cybersecurity certifications

Full Transcript

Hi, and welcome to the Certike practice test question of the week, where I bring you a question that you might find on your next IT certification exam, then I explain my thought process as I answer that question. This week's question is about authentication protocols. Let's take a look. When creating a web application based upon the OOTH 2 standard, what authentication protocol is often the simplest choice? Is it Radius, Kerverarose, digital certificates or Open ID Connect? Let me give you a moment to think about that and then I'll explain the correct answer. I release these questions once a week for members of my free mic study groups. There's a group covering each major IT certification. If you're working on your next certification, you can learn more at certmike.com. Open ID connect is an authentication protocol built directly on top of the OOTH 2 framework providing a simple and effective way to handle user authentication in web applications. It integrates seamlessly with OOTH 2.0 to offer a streamlined approach for authenticating users. Digital certificates, Radius, and Keraros are all authentication methods, but they're not directly built on top of OOTH, making them more complex choices for integrating with an OOTH2 based web application.
