Automated Head and Shoulders Chart Pattern in Python | Algorithmic Trading Strategy
About this lesson
I automate the Head and Shoulders (H&S) chart pattern with python. I go over pattern recognition rules for identification. I also show how the pattern can be detected early. We backtest the performance of the H&S and its inverted version. We find that the head and shoulders pattern is inconsistent at varying scales for bitcoin data. Some sizes of H&S patterns worked, while others did not. But, using the early identification we find impressive results for the inverted pattern.
