This free live workshop introduces Cyclops, a GPU-accelerated environmental analysis tool developed by Foster + Partners, enabling near–real-time simulation of solar obstruction, daylight autonomy, and cumulative radiation across architectural and urban scales. Led by Oscar Borgström and Wojciech Karnówka from Foster + Partners’ Applied Research + Development (ARD) team, the session demonstrates how GPU-based ray tracing workflows can be integrated directly into Rhino and Grasshopper to support performance-driven design during early-stage decision making. The workshop explores scalable methodologies for environmental analysis at façade, building, and city scales, illustrated through practice-based examples and live demonstrations.
