Key Takeaways

Equips learners with skills to create accessible digital content

Original Description

Accessible Technology for Inclusion is designed to equip learners with the essential skills and understanding needed to create digital content that meets accessibility standards. Specifically, it aligns with the European regulation UNE-EN 301 549:2022, “Accessibility requirements suitable for public procurement of ICT products and services in Europe.” In Spain, this regulation is implemented through the UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard developed by AENOR. This framework defines the criteria that ICT products and services—ranging from mobile devices and computers to websites—must fulfill to ensure accessibility for all users. The web-related requirements are grounded in the WCAG 2.1 Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, established by the W3C. The course seeks to promote these accessibility principles so that anyone involved in creating digital materials—whether for the web, mobile applications, or documents—can produce content that is both inclusive and accessible to individuals with diverse functional abilities. Developed through a partnership between the DicaTIC Chair and the ONCE Foundation, the Accessible Technology for Inclusion course has been made possible thanks to the support and funding of the Department of Innovation, Industry, Trade and Tourism of the Generalitat Valenciana.Por ej.: Este curso está dedicado principalmente a estudiantes universitarios de primer y segundo año interesados en ciencia e ingeniería, junto con estudiantes de secundaria y profesionales interesados en programación.
