Why I refused to build a Dreaming clone for OSS Claude

Anthropic shipped Dreaming on May 6. The OSS reflex is to clone it for Llama/Qwen/Mistral the next weekend. I sat with it for two days and walked away. Here is what I found and what I am building instead.
