_I have been here since before people believed ‘the internet never forgets’ only to then still be here to watch the internet forget._

I remember a world before the internet and yet I also grew up with the internet. It’s an odd paradox.

I also, however, remember when truth mattered, when journalism had actual ethics _(did not sell out to politics or corporations- and if they did it was absolutely deadly to entire companies/publications let alone individuals)_, and when algorithms that decided which things you saw vs what you did not, were not a thing.
