There’s a new term floating around right now: _Mythos_. But the most important thing about Mythos is not the model itself. It is the shape of the door around it.

Anthropic’s Claude Mythos Preview is not a normal launch. It is a gated research preview for defensive cybersecurity work through Project Glasswing, and Anthropic says there is no self-serve signup. The first organizations publicly named around that effort are AWS, Apple, Broadcom, Cisco, CrowdStrike, Google, JPMorganChase, the Linux Foundation, Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Palo Alto Networks. That list matters because it tells you, before you ever get to the technical details, what kind of future this might become. It is not a picture of open access.
