The Dantès Protocol

Edmond Dantès arrives at his wedding feast glowing with happiness, expecting promotion to captain and marriage to Mercédès. Unknown to him, Fernand and Danglars’ earlier conspiracy has already been set in motion. Just before the ceremony, officials arrive and arrest Dantès as a Bonapartist agent. Shock turns to grief, suspicion spreads, and Danglars quietly positions himself to benefit from Dantès’ fall.
