Starting cpp and need some tips

Got some time before colleges and thinking of starting cpp. I am planning to use learncpp and I have no prior experience with coding and git. I have some doubts which are probably a bit lame- 1. Should I be taking notes? If yes, then traditional pen paper or is there some other way? 2. Should I upload my progress on X? Does it help with networking? 3. Do I start uploading on git from day 1?
