Programming for physics and mathematics

Hello, I am a physics and mathematics student, also interested in computer science. I understand in order to actualize any of my interests I have to learn coding, I think personally, the idea of "programming" is also a self satisfactory achievement that I am looking forward to, as it is a step in evolution of logic for me. People have told me that I should learn python, as it is beginner friendly, but some even suggest I start with cpp as it is the most used. I
