is SIEM really needed here ?

We're a primarily AWS-based shop running EC2, S3, ELB, and Elastic Beanstalk. On the security side, we already have CloudTrail, S3 logging, AWS Inspector, Amazon Macie, GuardDuty, and Security Hub all set up — so things feel pretty centralized within AWS already.
