How I stopped trusting most AI coverage and what I read instead.
I read AI news every morning and I have stopped trusting most of it.
That sounds dramatic. It’s not. The problem isn’t that AI coverage is bad — there are real journalists doing real work on this beat. The problem is that the signal-to-noise ratio has collapsed. For every careful analysis of what a new model can actually do, there are fifty pieces written by people who watched a demo, read a press release, and filed a story before lunch.
