How I Built a Concurrency-Safe Reservation System
📰 Dev.to · Rahul Chaduvula
Learn how to build a concurrency-safe reservation system using FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, and SQLAlchemy to prevent race conditions
Action Steps
- Design a database schema using PostgreSQL to store seat reservations
- Implement concurrency control using Redis to prevent race conditions
- Build a RESTful API using FastAPI to handle reservation requests
- Use SQLAlchemy to interact with the database and ensure data consistency
- Test the system with multiple concurrent requests to ensure its safety and scalability
