How do you learn multiple languages?

I'm taking a computer science major but have never done any programming prior to taking it. After getting over the first year courses, I can confidently say that I can do some coding in Java but nowhere near enough to build projects on my own. Now I'm required to learn multiple languages every week, from C to Python to Javascript to Assembly, the list goes on. How do you learn multiple languages when you've barely scratched the surface of your first? Like
