Do you document trade-offs that are made?

We document a lot of stuff. One question I have is whether you document the trade-offs that you are making during a project, and whether we should? IMO there are benefits like: Easier to justify why certain decisions are made later into the project No need to redo the analysis after some time has passed and we forget why things are the way that they are.
