Am I not self-sufficient enough when it comes to solving problems that I see for the first time?

Hi all, I have this habit where whenever I see a new problem, instead of trying out the most naive approach to the problem that I can think of (due to a mental blockade in my head thinking that I won't be able to solve the problem in the most "efficient" way, even though I don't exactly have the criteria of what efficient look like, maybe the time doing Leetcode has messed up my brain with all of the arbitrary acceptance requirements, I'm also afraid of the fact
