## The Future Arrived Quietly

I was born in the 80's.

If you’d asked me as a kid what the future looked like, I probably would have given you the same answer most kids of my generation would have.

Flying cars.

Robot servants.

Maybe a few lasers.

Definitely something involving Terminator.

Back then, artificial intelligence belonged in films. It was something that became self-aware, took over the world, and forced humanity to spend two hours trying not to get wiped out before the credits rolled.
